Florida Poker Palyers vs Vegas Players

I live in FL and have been playing regulalry since about 2005 before they had real no limit. I also play in Vegas between 2 and 4x a year. I have noticed that the FL players in the 1-2 to 2-5 no limit tables are significantly better than their Vegas counterparts. The competition at these levels in south FL is stiff and seems very loose in Vegas. I play at MGM and this might be due to the fact that mostly tourists occupy these tables.

Any thoughts ?

I'm thinking that the typical 1-2 and 2-5 player in Vegas is the typical vacationer wanting to "try his hand" at Vegas poker - like on TV. Florida poker players at those stakes are normally locals tring to make some money.
